The Senior Field Service Technician (FST) is a field-based position working independently to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our chemical dispensing equipment, as well as other equipment used in commercial foodservice or laundry operations. The goal is to deliver exceptional service (not sales) to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills through provided training. Basic understanding of electronics, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical systems with troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis is preferred. Moderate proficiency with tools, data, and service needs is expected. The candidate should be proficient in laptop and cell phone technology, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Must have a valid driver’s license. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Essential Job Functions

1. Work schedule is a 5-day work week / 8 hours per day, which may include 12-hour shifts, weekends, and night shifts.
2. Lift, lower, and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
3. Push and pull objects up to 50 lbs.
4. Climb vertical ladders and go up and down stairs.
5. Stand, sit, walk for long periods, and perform physical activities like twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and reaching for equipment installation and maintenance on uneven surfaces.
6. Operate a computer keyboard and phone to input and access data.
7. Work in extreme temperatures, including hot and cold warehouse conditions with dust and dirt.
8. Recognize and respond to visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment startup, evacuation, and fire safety.
9. Operate a motor vehicle safely, spending approximately 30% of the day traveling between accounts in city, rural, and highway conditions.

• On-call coverage may include occasional weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
