Job summary

FLANDERS in Longview, TX seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, repair, install, and remove basic electromechanical motors and equipment at customer sites.

You will work with senior technicians, travel to jobs, and document work while upholding ISO safety standards and providing outstanding customer service.

This role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to work independently to complete tasks on time.

Qualifications

• Two years hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical equipment.
• AC and/or DC knowledge a plus.
• Vibration Institute certification, Category I or working toward Category I certification may be required by location.
• Willingness to travel including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Read work scopes to determine job status, work authorizations/limitations, description of problems, and/or expected serviceability.
• Analyze and diagnose motors and equipment prior to repair and/or removal.
• Determine if repairs can be completed in the field or if equipment needs to be sent to the shop for repair.
• Disassemble basic and routine electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition.
• Repair, install, and/or remove basic and routine motors and equipment.
• Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment for proper output and operation.
• Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment.
