About The Job

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician focused on controls and automation to join our team. This customer-facing role involves solving problems and building relationships through installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and automated systems, and be willing to travel extensively within the US and internationally. This is a fully remote position with a preference for candidates residing in the Eastern US.

Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical control systems, including PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and repair services, diagnosing complex issues.
  • Interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Train and advise customers on operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Document all service activities accurately and timely.
  • Maintain high customer service standards and effective communication.
  • Travel extensively (75%-85%) across the US and occasionally internationally.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in electrical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or automation fields.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manuals.
  • HVAC certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC/HMI software and VFD troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Willing to travel up to 85% domestically and internationally.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and enter confined spaces.
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, standing, and walking.
