RiseMe is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver, install, maintain, and retrieve home medical equipment for patients in homes and healthcare settings. You will educate patients and caregivers on safe equipment use and troubleshoot in the field.

Qualifications

• Background checks are performed for all drivers before hiring.
• Delivery, healthcare, durable medical equipment (DME), or field service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and retrieve home medical equipment at patient residences and healthcare facilities.
• Instruct patients, family members, and caregivers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance in the field.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and compliant with company standards.
• Safely operate company vehicles and comply with driving regulations.
• Complete required documentation, delivery records, and service reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain professional, courteous interactions with patients and staff.
• Communicate with customer service, operations, clinical, and management teams regarding patient needs.
• Respond to urgent service requests and equipment-related concerns as needed.
• Perform other duties or special projects when necessary.

Job description

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the timely delivery, setup, maintenance, and retrieval of home medical equipment to patients in their homes, healthcare facilities, and other care settings. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, family members, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring equipment is delivered, installed, and functioning properly.

The Field Service Technician educates patients and caregivers on the safe and effective use of medical equipment, troubleshoots operational issues, and performs minor repairs and maintenance as needed. This position requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with internal teams to ensure a positive patient experience and high-quality service delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver, set up, and retrieve home medical equipment at patient residences and healthcare facilities.
• Instruct patients, family members, and caregivers on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance in the field.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and compliant with company quality and safety standards.
• Safely operate company vehicles, comply with company telematics requirements, including accurate use of vehicle monitoring systems, and adhere to all driving and transportation regulations.
• Complete required documentation, delivery records, and service reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain professional, courteous interactions with patients, families, referral sources, and facility staff.
• Communicate effectively with customer service, operations, clinical, and management teams regarding patient needs, equipment issues, and service updates.
• Safely operate company vehicles and comply with all driving and transportation regulations.
• Respond to urgent service requests and equipment-related concerns as needed.

• Perform other duties or special projects when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Meet federal eligibility requirements to operate commercial vehicles in interstate commerce, including a minimum age of 21 years.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to lift, move, and transport medical equipment safely.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain attention to detail.
• Previous delivery, healthcare, durable medical equipment (DME), or field service experience preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background checks are performed for all drivers before hiring.

COMPUTER SKILLS: (on the job training)

Must have basic computer skills.
