Job summary

Cal Coast Machinery Inc. seeks an experienced Service Technician to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment, mentor trainees, and support customer clinics.

You will perform field diagnostics as needed, manage billable time, and ensure complete documentation of all work orders. Ideal candidates have shop/field experience with heavy machinery, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Experience performing service repairs and diagnostics in field or shop.
• Experience with John Deere equipment and tech manuals.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Conducts or supports customer clinics.
• Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Documentation of diagnostics and repairs; on-time submittal of information.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area; follows safety rules.
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Experience with field service and teamwork; strong written/verbal communication.
