Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of company equipment at customer locations, including financial institutions, casinos, and other commercial environments. This position requires a high level of customer service and proactive attention to client needs, with a focus on maintaining positive client relationships and ensuring optimal equipment performance.
Responsibilities
Perform installation and first-line maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
Manage daily customer calls within assigned territory, prioritizing based on urgency, location, and customer availability.
Monitor and triage the work queue for service calls throughout the day.
Provide both phone and on-site support, ensuring timely response and resolution.
Collaborate with fellow technicians to balance workload and assist as needed—teamwork is essential.
Conduct required preventive maintenance and identify additional equipment service opportunities during site visits.
Promote customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support.
Document maintenance activities and administrative duties accurately and timely.
Manage on-site inventory of tools and test equipment.
Submit accurate mileage logs, receipts, and inventory reports monthly.
Maintain technical competence through formal training, on-site instruction, and on-the-job learning.
Perform after-hours, weekend, and holiday service as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical fields or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years’ experience in a high-tech field service role preferred.
Strong electro-mechanical and electronic principles background.
Proficiency in operating within Windows and executing basic networking functions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Reliable, self-directed, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
Special Requirements
Availability for after-hours service, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license with ability to travel long distances.
Capability to sit, stand, walk, and work on a computer for extended periods.
