Job summary

Martin Engineering seeks a Service Technician to deliver, install, service, and maintain wear components on assigned routes. The role involves travel, some nights away from home, and an hourly wage with commission opportunities.

Responsibilities include providing quotes and reports, maintaining vehicle and inventory, and ensuring safety and OSHA/MSHA compliance. A high school diploma and relevant mechanical experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical or vocational degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical or conveyor maintenance background beneficial.
• Some sales background would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, maintains, installs, and services Martin products on assigned routes.
• Communicates project status to supervisor, fellow workers, and customers.
• Completes work individually and expeditiously to complete projects.
• Provides daily sales transactions and documents.
• Follows assigned routes and schedules.
• Maintains warehouse and vehicle stock and cleanliness; performs cycle counts.
• Produces quotes and reports for Martin customers for conveyor products serviced in the field.
• Ensures safety regulations and DOT policies are followed.
• Supervises subcontractors as needed and recommends route improvements.
• Conducts training for assigned employees on safety, quality, and technical skills.
