Job summary

Martin Engineering is seeking a Service Technician to deliver, install, service, and maintain Martin wear components on assigned routes. The role involves travel, some nights away from home, and potential commission earnings on top of hourly pay.

Responsibilities include customer communication, quotes, and reporting, while ensuring safety and inventory accuracy. A high school diploma is required, with a preferred technical degree and basic sales exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical or vocational degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical or conveyor maintenance background.
• Some sales background beneficial.
• Must be at least 21 years old with DOT qualifications where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, maintains, installs, and services Martin products on assigned routes.
• Communicates project status to supervisor, colleagues, and customers.
• Completes work independently and on time, including maintenance agreements."
• Provides daily sales transactions and documents.
• Follows assigned routes and schedules as provided.
• Ensures warehouse and vehicle stocked and maintained, with weekly counts.
• Operates vehicle safely per DOT policies.
• Produces quotes and reports for conveyor products serviced in the field.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and oversees subcontractors.
• Recommends service route and process improvements to the team.
• Conducts training for assigned employees on safety and technical skills.
