Job summary

SOKOL GxP Services is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support customers across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. This full-time, home-based role requires frequent regional travel and occasional overnight assignments.

The technician will certify and test controlled-environment systems and lab safety enclosures used in pharma, biotech, healthcare and regulated settings. Extensive knowledge of biosafety cabinets, cleanrooms, and RABS is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience certifying, testing, maintaining, or repairing controlled-environment systems.
• Experience certifying/servicing equipment such as biosafety cabinets, HEPA systems, laminar flow workstations, cleanrooms, RABS, pass-through chambers, and containment devices.
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across PA/NJ/NY and occasional overnights.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform certification and testing of Class I, II, and III biosafety cabinets.
• Certify laminar airflow workstations, clean benches, isolators, RABS, pass-through chambers, and HEPA-filtered equipment.
• Conduct ISO 14644-compliant cleanroom certification testing.
• Perform particle counting, airflow, temperature/humidity, and room-classification measurements.
• Certify chemical hoods and containment enclosures.
• Execute HEPA integrity testing using aerosol photometers and generators.
• Troubleshoot airflow, containment, mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
• Operate and maintain specialized certification/testing instruments.
• Verify calibration and equipment readiness before field deployment.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and testing supplies.
• Prepare certification and service reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
• Communicate results clearly to customers and represent the company professionally on-site.
