Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for our Compactor division in Indianola, PA. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a range of compactors in the field, applying hydraulics, electrical knowledge, and welding skills to ensure reliable operation.

You will diagnose issues, repair motors and pumps, and install equipment at customer sites while maintaining safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with field service repair is required for compactors or similar equipment.
• Experience in hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and service heavy equipment in the field.
• Ability to weld and fabricate as needed.
• Must be able to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on compactors and related equipment.
• Repair and replace motors, pumps, cylinders, valves, controls, and other components.
• Perform welding and fabrication work, including cutting and replacing chutes and rails.
• Install and service equipment at customer locations.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and ensure safe operation.
