What’s the role?

As a Field Service Technician, you will work with a team supporting Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions. Your responsibilities include installation, servicing of custom equipment, customer interaction, supporting R&D with engineering tasks, and assisting in system production during assembly and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate high-tech machines at customer locations.
• Provide excellent customer service with passion and dedication.
• Learn and operate high-tech Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using mechanical and electronic skills.
• Complete administrative paperwork accurately.
• Work independently in a high-pressure, innovative environment.
• Travel 90-100% within the service area, including international travel as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; AS/BS in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or military technical training, or 4 years related experience.
• Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Willing to work at least 50 hours per week, including overtime.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice to haves:

• Experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.
• Experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting (preferred but not required).
