Job Overview:

Cabinet IQ is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Field Services Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our cabinet products at customer locations, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role includes completing field measurements prior to cabinet orders, coordinating and monitoring field cabinet installations, performing minor troubleshooting, completing quality walks after installation with clients, and addressing any lingering punch list items to ensure a 5-star service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cabinet installations and repairs at customer sites, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on cabinet solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cabinet functionality and aesthetics in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed installations and service requests, including customer feedback.
  • Follow safety guidelines and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and customers.
  • Communicate effectively with the Field Services Manager and other team members regarding project status and customer needs.
  • Continuously develop your skills and product knowledge to stay current with industry trends and company offerings.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with customers.
  • Deliver and install parts as a follow-up to initial installation.
  • Ensure scheduled tasks are completed on time as detailed in the proprietary tech platform.
  • Other duties as may be assigned at management's discretion.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a technician or installer role, preferably in cabinetry, construction, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cabinet installation techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of tools and equipment required for cabinet installation and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Cabinet experience/knowledge, minimum one year.
  • Previous related employment experience in the home building products/construction industry.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent is minimally required.
  • Associates-level degree and/or related professional certifications are preferred.
