Job summary

QUALITY EQUIPMENT LLC in New Bern, NC is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service agricultural and turf equipment. You will disassemble and reassemble components, document repairs, and communicate findings to the Service Manager.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least three years of experience, plus strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• Ability to write diagnosis and work completed on repair orders.
• Proficient knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems and/or hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use PC and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic repairs following Technical Manual procedures.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostic and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and AMS products.
• Disassembles, assembles, and repairs components and machines.
• Performs service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager.
• Prepares repair orders detailing work performed.
• Reports additional work needs to the Service Manager.
• Participates in training programs as directed by the Service Manager.
• Accounts for time and materials used.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work area.
• Reports unsafe shop tools or equipment.
