Job summary

Red E, LLC in Fargo, ND seeks a Service Technician to maintain, repair, and rebuild agricultural air seeding and precision planting equipment. This role is field- and shop-based, requiring weekly travel to customer sites to keep equipment operational during peak planting seasons.

The position focuses on hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, and timely service. A valid driver’s license is required; Class A CDL is preferred. Growth opportunities exist within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Experience with agricultural or heavy equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems and repair practices.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general shop equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel weekly for field service work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform hands-on mechanical work.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues and complete repairs on air seeding and precision planting equipment.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble mechanical components and systems.
• Perform field service work directly at customer locations.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Drive company service vehicles to transport tools, parts, and equipment.
• Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding repair status, priorities, and service needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including inventory usage, photos, videos, and service records.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.
• Maintain accurate and organized work practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
