Job summary

Sinclair Tractor in Southeast Iowa is seeking a skilled Service Technician to independently diagnose, service, and repair John Deere agricultural equipment. You will mentor trainees and support customer clinics, with field work as needed.

You must have a HS diploma, an Associate degree in John Deere Ag Tech or equivalent, and strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2-year degree preferred; relevant experience also considered.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Ability to mentor trainees and participate in customer clinics.
• Experience with John Deere equipment a plus; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Conducts or supports customer clinics.
• Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for documentation of diagnostics and repairs on work orders and timely submission.
