Position Description:

The Field Service Technician / Operator will play a key role in maintaining and supporting our clients' technology infrastructure and equipment in the New Jersey/New York City area. This role involves providing onsite and remote technical support, maintaining equipment, and ensuring optimal functionality of network and security devices, camera systems, and traffic monitoring systems. The position requires working closely with customers and internal teams to address technical issues and deliver high-quality service. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting remote and onsite inspections of enforcement systems (e.g., camera housings, poles, signage).
  2. Maintaining and troubleshooting network devices, camera systems, access control, and vehicle tag readers.
  3. Performing firmware and configuration updates on network systems.
  4. Incident coordination in ITSM tools.
  5. Documenting maintenance activities and repair solutions.
  6. Collaborating with support teams to ensure systems are fully functional and aligned with customer needs.
  7. Providing remote technical support for system users.
  8. Explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients.
  9. Building and maintaining customer relationships.
  10. Performing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong familiarity with hand tools, power tools, generators, low voltage electrical systems, and camera technologies.
  • Relevant experience in traffic or road construction, or similar fields.
  • Ability to perform work on roadside structures, operate bucket trucks, and conduct repairs on toll and network systems.
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and on-call rotation.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN fundamentals and troubleshooting experience with Windows and MS Office.
  • Strong English communication skills, with additional languages (Spanish, French, or German) as a plus.
