Job summary

Med Water Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician in Woods Cross, Utah to install, service, and support ultra-pure water systems at hospitals and labs nationwide. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role requiring professionalism and strong communication.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical ability, experience with equipment repair, and prior success working with customers in field settings. Travel up to 75% and on-site work in healthcare environments are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year of equipment repair/maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, automotive or diesel repair, equipment service or installation, construction or mechanical trades.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with customers in a service or client-facing role, in the field or at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and support ultra-pure water systems in hospitals and laboratories.
• Travel nationwide up to 75% to customer sites.
• Document service work accurately in CRM systems.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Assist in shop builds during non-travel periods.

Our systems support critical laboratory and sterile processing operations and help healthcare organizations maintain reliable water systems. We are looking for Field Service Techniciansto join our growing team in Woods Cross, Utah!

Position Summary

Responsible for installing, servicing, and supporting ultra-pure water systems used in hospitals and laboratories nationwide. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role where professionalism, accountability, and clear communication are just as important as technical ability. Ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, solving problems in the field, and being trusted to represent your company well.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work directly in healthcare environments
• Interact with lab staff, technicians, and facility teams
• Represent Med Water Systems on-site
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently
• Travel nationwide (up to 75%) to customer sites
• Install, service, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system components
• Diagnose issues and complete repairs with minimal oversight
• Build and prepare systems in the shop during non-travel periods
• Document service work accurately in CRM systems
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year of equipment repair/maintenance experience in one or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, automotive or diesel repair, equipment service or installation, construction or mechanical trades.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with customers in a service or client-facing role, working independently in the field or at customer sites, explaining technical issues to customers required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Frequently required to stand and sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; repetitive motions with hands, fingers, and wrists.
• Regularly required to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
