Job summary

Medium is hiring a Field Service Technician in Woodbridge, Connecticut. In this role, you will perform service work on filtered water systems, including installations and maintenance of coolers and dispensers, while providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and some experience as a field technician is preferred. The position offers a salary between $25 and $26 an hour.

About the Role

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for performing all service work on our filtered water systems, including bottle‑less water coolers, ice machines, sparkling water dispensers, and coffee brewers. This includes installations, maintenance repairs, and preventative maintenance. The Field Service Technician also acts as the face of Quench, providing a positive customer service experience during site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Routinely change water filters, clean and sanitize water tanks, change UV bulbs and clear water lines.
• Visually inspect for leaks and malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot product for required repairs.
• Professionally greet and interact with customers, explain what you are doing, explain the functionality of the coolers, and answer any customer questions.
• Complete assigned installation and service routes efficiently.
• Communicate with your supervisor, customer service, dispatch, and other team members.
• Follow company inventory and tracking procedures.
• Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of company tools.
• Follow company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain and comply with company vehicle maintenance policy and procedures.
