A leading company in the water and wastewater industry is seeking a Field Service Technician to test and troubleshoot electrical control systems. This role involves significant customer interaction and travel, requiring strong technical skills and experience in Electrical Technology. Join a team known for innovation and exceptional service.
What you will do:
As ourField Service Technician,you will test up to 480-volt control panels (systems) prior to shipment and assist with start-up and commissioning of new products in the field. You will troubleshoot, service, and repair installed industrial electrical control systems that help control and monitor one of the world’s most valuable and limited resources – Water! You will interact with engineers, contractors, end-users, and other equipment suppliers. This position works in our Vacaville, CAlocation.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be reading schematics, checking, testing, and troubleshooting electrical control panels and instrumentation that controls pressure levels and flows. You will repair, retrofit, and troubleshoot installed industrial electrical controls equipment and perform start-ups of new water and wastewater systems. You will provide exceptional customer service to external customers on the phone and in the field. You will travel 50% of the time, most are day trips with occasional overnight trips.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must be able to interpret and comprehend electrical schematics, as well as troubleshoot electrical equipment operating at 480 volts.You must possess exceptional customer service skills and be able to communicate efficiently with internal and external customers. You must have experience testing instrumentation that controls and monitors pressure, level, and flow. You must have 3-5 years of experience in Electrical Technology, Electrical Construction, Automation, or other related fields. Experience working with PLCs and SCADA is preferred and a certificate in Electrical Technologies would be a bonus.
