Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Field Service Technician in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves installing and servicing on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk gas systems, ensuring safe operations and regulatory compliance.

You will support piping, electrical work, and site surveys, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer interaction. Requires travel and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Capability to write routine reports and professional correspondence.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Install and service on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk gas systems, safely and in compliance with codes.
• Support installation and maintenance of nitrogen systems at customer sites and Airgas facilities.
• Perform site surveys, wiring, piping, and associated electrical tasks.
• Maintain safety, operate tools, and read/process diagrams for customer sites.

The (Cryogenic) Field Service Technician is responsible for installing and servicing on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk medical or industrial gas systems in a safe and operationally effective manner, in accordance with all federal, state/provincial and local codes, and Airgas poli

• cies.
  Supports the installation and upkeep of nitrogen on-site generation equi
• pment.Supports cryogenic bulk installations both at Airgas facilities and customer
• sites.Restores and optimizes pressure reduction equipment associated with bulk delivery sy
• stems.Evaluates and provides solutions for electrical systems associated with N2 generation and cryogenic installations, including: motor controls and relays, low pressure, high pressure and liquid level alarm sy
• stems.Installs decals and warning signs for the proper identification of hazards, warnings, ownership, normal operational settings, emergency contacts
• , etc.Performs installation of piping systems in accordance with company
• SOP's.Performs Site Surveys to build alignment with all federal, state/provincial and local
• codes.Fosters a secure environment by providing fencing to protect installations from tampering or unauthorized
• entry.Performs periodic preventative maintenance tasks on N2 generation equipment based on the PM sch
• edule.Performs annual inspections of all bulk installation sites to ensure their condition and excellent oper
• ation.Champions and upholds safety policies and procedures to nurture a secure work
• place.Maintains an appropriate stock of recommended parts necessary to restore typical installations within the assigned customer

Required Qualific
