Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service cryogenic vessels, vaporizers, and telemetry units at customer sites.

The role supports nitrogen generators, air compressors, and HP/LP reserve systems, performing preventive maintenance and on-site repairs. Travel with overnight stays is required, along with strict safety protocols for hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Valid U.S. employment authorization, no visa sponsorship.
• Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence.
• Experience and good skills with troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating a forklift and maintaining certifications.
• Pass required testing and obtain Medical Certificate and Brazing License.
• Ability to travel with overnight stays.
• Experience in safe operation of electrical and manual hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret process diagrams and MSDS/P&ID documents.
• Professional communication with customers and vendors; must maintain a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

Field Service Technician

Location: Denver, CO - Vasquez - Cust. installations - Intermountain Field Service Group

What you’ll do

• Facilitate the installation and removal of cryogenic vessels, vaporizers, and telemetry units with a commitment to quality.
• Support and guide the operation of nitrogen generators, air compressors, and high‑pressure/low‑pressure (HP/LP) reserve systems.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and restore service through corrective repairs on Airgas and customer‑owned assets to foster reliable service for our partners.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and diligently care for company‑issued cards for equipment, travel, and fuel.
• Provide specialized care in the daily handling of hazardous materials (Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, etc.) in commitment to Federal, State, and Company safety standards and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Valid U.S. employment authorization, no requirement for visa sponsorship.
