Job summary

Gasbarre Products, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to install, maintain and service thermal processing equipment at customer sites across North America, with some international travel. The role requires welding, piping fittings, general assembly, and the ability to interpret blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related experience.
• Extensive travel to customer facilities across North America; some international travel may be required.
• Welding, pipe fittings and general assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and long periods of standing.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain thermal processing equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate with rigging contractors and other personnel for large installations.
• Perform welding, piping fittings, and equipment reassembly for startup and commissioning.
• Work with sales, engineering and manufacturing to plan upcoming field service projects.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Provide feedback to improve future installations and field projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Manager.

General Summary

Manages and performs field service activities including installing, maintaining, and servicing new and existing thermal processing equipment. All activities are done in a way that represents Gasbarre Products in a professional manner.

Essential Job Functions

Functions and Details:

• Extensive travel to and from customer facilities located in North America
• Some other international travel may be required.
• Manage large equipment installations including rigging contractors and other contracted personnel.
• Mechanical work such as welding, piping fitting, general assembly to re-assemble equipment in preparation for startup and commissioning.
• Mechanical work for rebuilding, maintaining, or servicing existing equipment.
• Work with sales, engineering and manufacturing to plan upcoming field service installations and projects.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers to keep them informed of progress, issues, and completion status.
• Communicate feedback to sales, engineering, and manufacturing for continuous improvement of new installations and other field service projects.
• Any other task or duty as required by Manufacturing Manager.
