Job summary

Werres Corporation seeks a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems and perform installations and scheduled maintenance on forklift equipment at customer sites. The role includes traveling to client sites, documenting service calls, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

You will be trained to become a Raymond Certified Technician through Basic Certified levels, with benefits in a safety-conscious, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school education and 1–3 years mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience or equivalent training.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a similar setting.

Werres CorporationFIELD SERVICE TECHNICIANwill work at customer sites in a shop environment. Responsible for troubleshooting electro-mechanical problems, installations, and performing unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on forklift/equipment.

Training:

Training provided to become a Raymond Certified Technician from Basic Certified, Level 1, Level 2, and Master Certified.

Mechanic dispatched from home and compensated for hours worked. Typical workweek consists of 40 or more hours. JOB SUMMARY :

To troubleshoot Electro-mechanical problems, install, perform repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment based on customer demand and need. To provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Effectively analyze problem situations pertaining to breakdowns of customer equipment and recommend action necessary to correct situation to customer.
• Exhibit a professional demeanor; promote goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
• Perform necessary repairs and/or modifications to correct or change analyzed situation in a productive manner.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment for contracted customers according to the Werres Corporation Scheduled Maintenance policy and procedures.
• Prepare necessary documentation relating to each service call in a neat and accurate manner.
• Follow safety rules and ensure that hazardous waste is disposed of properly.
• Maintain parts and supplies inventory in service van.
• Maintain service van to ensure that it is clean, organized and hazard free inside and out.
• Assure regular maintenance is performed on service van and that required repairs are performed and properly documented.
• Responsible for having a valid driver’s license and maintaining a clean motor vehicle record in accordance with company policy.
• Responsible for providing personal tools required for performing the job effectively and safely.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and free of clutter and keeping tools clean and in good repair.
• Responsible for following customer’s safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and co-workers.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and read and understand necessary service and training manuals.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to maintain a good understanding of industry innovations and product availability in order to make recommendations based on customer need.
• Ability to effectively utilize volt, ohm and multimeters.
• Demonstrate good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds constantly, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping.
• Ability to safely operate drills, grinders, pressers, forklift, hoists, overhead cranes and personal hand tools.
• Ability to draw upon available support resources from within the company and recognize when it is appropriate to do such.
• Such other knowledge, skills and abilities are necessary in connection with additionally assigned duties.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

• High school education and one to three years mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education.
• Need to maintain a valid driver's license.
• 1 to 3 years of mechanical & electrical experience in a similar environment
• Ability to use a computer and iPad
