Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical service for Comecer equipment across North America. You will handle mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintain installations, and support service contracts.

Travel to customer sites is expected, with remote support capabilities and documentation in Fusion. Qualified candidates have a technical diploma, strong English communication, and experience with automation, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Industrial diploma with mechanical/electrical emphasis.
• Ability to analyze, debug and adjust equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults with instrumentation.
• Read drawings and schematics; pneumatic/hydraulic knowledge helpful.
• Experience with automation troubleshooting and multi-disciplinary environments.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Comecer equipment at customer sites in NA.
• Provide remote technical support via telephone/Help Desk (L1 & L2).
• Use FUSION software to create and track service tickets and reports.
• Perform preventive maintenance and timely diagnostics; document findings.
• Support SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ activities for new installations.
• Build positive customer relationships and promote service packages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

FieldService:

• Troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainthe industrial equipment manufactured by theComecerGroup at customer sites in the United States and Canada.

• Provideremotetechnical support by telephone and online (Help Desk level 1 & 2) forcustomers

• Utilize internal FUSION software to create and track machine issues using service tickets.

• Execute serviceat customer sitesbased on instructions received by the ServicePlanner. Create work reportsandother service documentation and update internal records using FUSION.

• Diagnose and address equipment problemsin a timely manner. Clearlyexplainto the customer's satisfaction the diagnosis and repair of the machine. Address difficult customer situations in a professional manner.

• Serve as a support engineer to customers formechanical and electricalissues provided withComecerequipment and systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance activities including filter replacement,calibrations, leak test, etc. onComecerequipment and systems.

Commercial:

• Ship and receive customer orders, stock shipments, and installation equipment.

• Order and track spare parts and consumables inventory. Proactively adjust stock to effectively handle future customer needs and ensure availability of critical stock.

• Organize the archive of user manuals, recommended spare parts lists, and technical documentation related to the equipment installed in the United States and Canada.

• Seek out andassistinnegotiatingmaintenance packages including service contracts and spare parts sets.

• Establish andmaintainpositive working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and customers. Seek opportunities to expand network and promoteComecerand ATS brands.
• Continuallyseektechnical and product training.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least a five-year Industrial Technical diploma with Mechanical / Electrical emphasis or equivalent work experience.

• Ability toperform analysis,debug and perform adjustments toComecerequipmentand systems.

• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults on industrial equipment usingappropriate instrumentationand controls interfaces.

• Anexcellentunderstandingofpneumatic,hydraulic,electricalandmechanicalcomponents,alongwith theabilitytoreaddrawingsisessential.

• Experience withtroubleshootingautomationsystems.

• Must beableto workin amulti-disciplinedenvironment,oftenunder pressure andstricttimeconstants. Experience indealingwith customers to resolveproblemsisrequired.

• Drivencontinuousimprovementmentalityandexperiencewithconductingproblem-solvingexercises, root causeanalysisand successimplementationofinitiatives.
