Job summary

Camlin Energy is hiring a Field Service Technician based in the United States to join the Global Services Department. The role involves installation and commissioning of standard HV products, field maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction across Northern America.

The position requires travel up to 70%, readiness to work extended hours, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies. Associates degree or 5 years of field experience are expected.

Responsibilities

• Represent Camlin, ensuring customer comes first and field projects stay on track with high service levels.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Complete training on HV product installation/commissioning and servicing within Northern America.
• Install and commission standard HV products and perform general maintenance.
• Report to Field Service Manager on works carried out and service appointments.
• Maintain communication with Field and Operational teams for planning and scheduling.

WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY

Camlin Energy has an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in a Field Service Technician position, based in Cleveland, Ohio, within Camlin's Global Services Department.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Representing Camlin, by ensuring the customer comes first, and that field projects are maintained on track and supported in a professional manner whilst delivering excellent levels of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with Camlin Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Undertakes and regularly updates all training associated with the role inc external mandatory H&S training as directed.
• Completes training on the Installation / Commissioning and general servicing of standard HV products to be installed regionally within Northern America.
• Working within live sub-stations and network facilities, primarily within the designated region.
• Installation and commissioning of standard HV products.
• General service and maintenance duties involving the standard HV products.
• Reports to Field Service Manager on works carried out, work orders and service appointments.
• Compiles and issues reports on works carried out to the Operational Officer.
• Maintain constant communication withFieldand Operational functions, enabling efficient & timely planning and scheduling of works.
• Communicates and aligns with the wider team, reporting on customer satisfaction throughout inc postworks.
• Supports the non-conformance chain of issues within field projects, applying critical thinking skills, working with customer support to ensure relevant feedback and details are received and passed on for verification and analysis.
• Undertake other such duties that are required, commensurate with the role.
• Up to 70% travel may be required to carry out duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Attention to detail.
• A willingness to work additional hours and the flexibility to work weekends as required; must be able to travel within the specified region and possibly to other customer locations as and when required, therefore a current passport and driver’s license are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree in Electrical / mechanical engineering or similar relevant qualification OR5 years Field Experience in a similar role.

DESIRABLE

• Previous experience with communication protocols and carriers
• Previous experience with Software and Hardware Solutions
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking.
• Previous experience directly interfacing with customers to deliver satisfactory outcomes.
