Job summary

A leading technology firm in Massachusetts is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service custom equipment. You'll interact with customers and support product launches while assisting the R&D team with engineering work focused on design and testing. The ideal candidate should be a high school graduate or have equivalent experience, possess strong communication skills, and be willing to work 50 hours per week. This position offers medical benefits and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school graduate, GED or equivalent.
  • Experience using hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per week (Regular + OT).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.

Job description

Overview

Position will work in the Springfield, MA and surrounding area.

As a Field Service Technician at ZEISS, you will participate in installation and servicing of custom equipment, interact with customers and cross-functional service groups, support and launch ZEISS products into the field, and assist the R&D team with engineering work related to design, build, and new system testing. This role also supports the production of systems during various stages of assembly and setup.

  • Willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per week (Regular + OT).
  • Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.
Nice to have
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) installation and troubleshooting is preferred but not required.
Pay and Benefits
