Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience preferred in forklift repair or related mechanical trades.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair lift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Perform scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM) on customer equipment.
• Complete engine tune-ups and preventive maintenance without direct supervision.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and mechanical systems.
• Operate a company service vehicle safely and professionally.
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Identify safety concerns, wear items, and needed repairs.
• Order replacement parts and assist in training apprentice technicians.
• Maintain accurate work orders and service photos using TW Mobile.

Total Warehouse is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Las Vegas team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations throughout Southern Nevada.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all makes of lift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Perform scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM) services on customer equipment.
• Complete engine tune-ups and preventive maintenance without direct supervision.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and mechanical systems.
• Operate a company service vehicle in a safe, clean, and professional manner.
• Test equipment following repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Inspect equipment and identify safety concerns, wear items, and needed repairs.
• Properly identify and order replacement parts required for repairs.
• Assist in training and mentoring apprentice technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation using the TW Mobile application, including labor tracking, technician notes, recommendations, service photos, checklists, and parts requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, parts personnel, and management.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) or more years of mechanical experience preferred in forklift repair, material handling equipment, heavy equipment, diesel equipment, automotive repair, or related mechanical trades.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Experience using diagnostic software and testing equipment.
• Ability to repair or replace major system components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, LP fuel systems, power steering systems, electrical systems, and circuit boards.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Works effectively in a team environment and contributes to a positive workplace culture.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and lift.
• Frequently required to work in varying weather and customer environments.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must be capable of working underneath, around, and inside equipment during repairs.
• Must possess sufficient vision and hearing to safely perform inspections and repairs.
