Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician to provide on-site support, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and assist with installations of electrical systems and equipment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing or field service, can read schematics, use a multimeter and hand tools, and communicate clearly. Willingness to travel and work on call is required; Houston, TX or Youngstown area preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five+ years of experience in manufacturing or field service.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to assemble and install equipment.
• Ability to use multimeter and power tools.
• Willingness to travel and work on-call.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Houston, TX or OH area location preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems according to company procedures
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels and equipment
• Provide direction to on-site contractors hired by Panelmatic where applicable
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
• Arrange travel for Field Service trips as required
• Perform FAT and SAT when required
• Document service activities, including maintenance reports and service records
• Train customers in basic equipment operation and maintenance
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Perform manufacturing tasks and quality checks when not on field projects
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing on-site support, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with installations of electrical systems and equipment.

Job Duties:

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems according to company procedures
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels and equipment
• Provide direction to on-site contractors hired by Panelmatic where applicable
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
• Make appropriate, budget-conscious travel arrangements for Field Service trips where required
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) were required
• Document service activities, including maintenance reports and service records
• Train customers in basic equipment operation and maintenance, where applicable
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
• Perform electrical and mechanical manufacturing tasks, in-process inspections, and Quality Control checks in Panelmatic manufacturing locations when not assigned to a field project
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Five+ years of experience in a manufacturing or field service role required, with a focus on electrical equipment manufacturing given strong preference
• Experience in reading electrical schematics and drawings required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble and install fabricated equipment required
• Ability to use multimeter, hand, and power tools required
• Ability to run conduit and pull wires required
• Willingness to learn and work under the guidance of senior technicians required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team required
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities required
• Location in (Houston, TX or Youngstown/Brookfield, OH area) required
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
• Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required
• Ability to stoop and bend for four-plus hours required
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and at heights required
• Ability to work on call 24/7, holidays, and weekends for out-of-state travel required
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery (lull, forklift, manlift, etc.)
