Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in oilfield or drilling equipment service operations.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installation, maintenance, and repair of OCI-GMS drilling tools and systems.
• Support client drilling operations with technical expertise, ensuring optimal tool performance and safety.
• Conduct pre- and post-job inspections, including tool assembly, calibration, and functional testing.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to report field performance data and recommend design or process improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate job reports, field service documentation, and equipment maintenance records.
• Provide onsite technical training and guidance to clients and crew members.
• Comply with all HSE standards, company policies, and industry regulations.

Position Overview

The Field Service Technician will provide onsite technical support, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of drilling tools and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to operational excellence in field service environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installation, maintenance, and repair of OCI-GMS drilling tools and systems.
• Support client drilling operations with technical expertise, ensuring optimal tool performance and safety.
• Conduct pre- and post-job inspections, including tool assembly, calibration, and functional testing.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to report field performance data and recommend design or process improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate job reports, field service documentation, and equipment maintenance records.
• Provide onsite technical training and guidance to clients and crew members.
• Comply with all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Travel frequently to drilling sites, sometimes on short notice, for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in oilfield or drilling equipment service operations.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of downhole drilling tools, mud motors, stabilizers, or measurement systems.
• Familiarity with torque, pressure, and flow systems used in drilling operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently under challenging field conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience with downhole tool servicing or drilling fluid systems.
• Exposure to remote operations support and data-driven field monitoring.
• Certification in H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, or RigPass is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive safety mindset.

Working Conditions

• Field-based role with travel up to 75% of the time.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and rig site environments.
• Extended shifts, including weekends or nights, as required by operational demands.
