Job summary

Peak Group Companies in Grand Junction, CO is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service water treatment controls. You will travel to facilities, read blueprints, calibrate instruments, and support system start-up.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, willingness to travel up to 3 nights/4 days per trip, and a safety-conscious, detail-oriented mindset. We offer transportation, hotel accommodations, and expense reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and troubleshoot low voltage circuitry.
• Knowledge of AC & DC circuits.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical control panel wiring diagrams.
• Instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting.
• Good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair valves, flow meters, transmitters, VFDs, sensors and controls at water treatment facilities.
• Assist with system start-up and pre-installation fabrication in the shop.
• Verify installation and configure controllers and instruments.
• Start-up support and ensure automatic operation of systems.
• Travel to field sites; provide on-site service, with overnight stays as needed.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Travel: Road Warrior – must be able to travel out of state. Up to 3 nights/4 days out of town per trip.

Travel & Employment

Valid driver’s license required.

Travel for installations and servicing will often include overnight stays near job locations, up to 3 nights/4 days at a time. Company provides transportation, hotel room, and expense reimbursement.

Field service work typically in the Rocky Mountain West.

A Day in the Life

Field Service Technicians work a 4‑day, 40‑hour week with a generous time off policy. They travel to water treatment facilities to troubleshoot and repair valves, flow meters, transmitters, VFDs, sensors and controls. Technicians assist with system start‑up, perform pre‑installation fabrication in the shop, verify installation, configure controllers and instruments, confirm automatic operation and start‑up the systems.
