Job summary

Ecolab’s Field Technician position in Flat Rock, MI reports to a dynamic team, performing hands-on monitoring and maintenance of air and water quality systems. The role emphasizes autonomous customer service, safety, and problem solving in challenging environments.

You’ll conduct chemical tests, log data, and support customers while maintaining inventories and equipment, with a rotating 6PM-6AM shift and a $22.00/hr compensation framework.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the facility and its processes in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform daily process application quality analysis using small intricate parts.
  • Provide routine and special application service support to customers.
  • Execute required chemistry tests; log and report data.
  • Maintain product inventories and provide technical support to customers.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain systems as needed; use a Fluke meter to check sensitivity.
  • Operate a test stand verifying air and fluid leaks.

Position Details:

  • Shift:Rotating Shift Weekly 6PM-6AM
  • Compensation:$22.00hr

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment.
  • High SchoolDiploma,GEDor equivalent
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working independently in an industrial setting
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Previousexperience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance
  • Mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g.plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical experience)
  • Strong customer service skills; proven ability tointerfacepositively and professionally with the customer
  • Analyze readings and put data in a spreadsheet in a logical manner
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Previousexperience explainingresults of data gatherings
PhysicalRequirements of Position:
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
  • Wearing and usinga respirator under certain conditions
  • Working in a variety of conditions including confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, climbing
  • Working indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $44,200-$66,200. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
