Job summary

Industrial Air Centers, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to service industrial air compressors and drying equipment. Travel to customer sites in Evansville and surrounding areas for start-ups, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

The role requires reading manuals/blueprints, using multimeters and powered tools safely, and providing recommendations to improve reliability. Valid DOT screening or certification is required, plus a clean driving record and 50 lb lifting ability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with compressed air equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT certification or ability to pass DOT screening.
• Ability to read parts manuals, blueprints, schematics, etc.
• Ability to use multimeter and hand/power tools safely.
• Lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain rotary screw/reciprocating air compressors and dryers.
• Perform diagnostics and determine causes for failures on equipment.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and provide reliability improvements.
• Consult with customers on equipment needs, maintenance and repairs.
• Provide startup assistance for equipment on-site.
• Complete appropriate paperwork for each job.

Description

The Field Service Technician will be primarily responsible for start-up, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of industrial air compressors and compressed air equipment. The technician will travel to customer sites within the Evansville and surrounding areas to perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain rotary screw/ reciprocating air compressors and various types of air dryers


• Perform diagnostics and determine causes for failures on air compressor systems equipment


• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting of factory standard controls. Provide equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance


• Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs


• Technical assistance on equipment start-ups of equipment


• Complete appropriate paperwork for each job

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with compressed air equipment strongly preferred


• Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing


• Must be DOT certified or be able to pass a DOT screening


• Ability to read parts and service manuals, blueprints, schematics, etc.


• Ability to use multimeter, hand and power tools while following safety guidelines


• Ability to regularly stand, bend, crouch and lift up to 50lbs
