Description

Accountability:

Install and repair machines and accessories at customer sites. Provide technical information on operation or repair of machines and accessories.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Proactively ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  2. Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating, and wiring.
  3. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on machines and accessories at customer sites.
  4. Test the operation of machines and accessories after installation or repair.
  5. Train customers on machine functions.
  6. Learn new machine features and accessories as they become available.
  7. Complete reports documenting installation, problem assessment, repairs, and parts used.
  8. Travel is required, including overnight or multiple-night stays.
  9. Utilize various test equipment for troubleshooting, such as indicators, test bars, clamp force gauges, etc.
Education/Certification
  • 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical, or machine tool assembly.
  • 3-7 years of experience in field service.
  • High school diploma.
Skills
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Understanding of PLCs.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • General computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; heavier lifts periodically.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Effective writing and reporting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this position is $70,926 to $109,025.
