Job summary

Verigent in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunications systems across Connecticut and Rhode Island.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NEC SV9500, UM8700, MA4000, and Mitel 3300/MiVoice Business, plus VoIP and data networking skills. Travel throughout CT and RI with a valid driver's license and a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of telecommunications or field service experience.
• Experience with NEC SV9500, UM8700, and/or MA4000 strongly preferred.
• Mitel 3300/MiVoice Business experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of VoIP, IP networking, voice/data systems, and telecom cabling.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Key/PABX and VoIP telephone systems.
• Support voicemail and call center systems.
• Perform testing, cutovers, and turn-ups of phone lines, PRI, T-1s, trunks, and VoIP services.
• Troubleshoot telephony hardware, software, voicemail, phones, and network issues on-site and remotely.
• Install and test telecommunications cabling and equipment.
• Respond to customer service issues and provide technical support and solutions.
• Document service activity and assist internal technical teams/TAC with trouble tickets.
• Maintain company equipment and follow safety and security procedures.

Salary Range: $70-85,000 (or higher/negotiable based on experience)
