Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have own tools and basic shop safety knowledge.

Job description

We seek an experienced forklift technician with 3+ years' experience in a shop or field setting. Automotive technicians with experience in dealership settings are also encouraged to apply. Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated boom equipment used in construction.

Reporting

This is an hourly position and reports directly to the shop service manager.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
