Irby Utilities is hiring for a Mobile Testing Lab support role focused on loading, unloading, packing, and moving materials. The candidate will operate forklifts and related equipment, handle shipments, document paperwork, and assist in building custom rope products and ground sets. High voltage testing is part of the duties.

The position supports a large utility distribution organization delivering services across the region. Training and safety protocols are emphasized throughout the role.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials within or near the worksite.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Package merchandise for shipment by common carrier.
• Load materials into vehicles and secure with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Attach identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and clean work area, machines, and equipment to assist operators.
• Be courteous in all contact with company customers.
• Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare information against records; examine shipments for damage or shortages and coordinate with shipper.
• Determine method of shipment and prepare materials for shipping; weigh, package, and stamp; complete bills of lading.
• Operate material handling equipment to move stock or reorganize storage.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hand tools and hydraulic tools; build rope products and ground sets.
• Perform High Voltage Testing.
