Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Technician in Orlando, FL for the Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division. You will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on rental flooring equipment in a safe, professional manner while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role offers hands-on work, opportunities to advance within the Service Department, and a team-oriented culture with strong benefits and training programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use common tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment, including checking electrical continuity and wiring faults.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

As a Service Technician at United Rentals supporting our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division, you will use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

What you'll do:

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
