Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Technician for its Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division in Orlando, FL. You will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on flooring equipment in a safe, professional manner while delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.

Your daily duties include pre- and post-use maintenance checks, reporting equipment condition, assisting with pick-up and delivery, and demonstrating equipment to customers; growth opportunities exist toward advanced

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with relevant tools.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Repair rental flooring equipment as needed, including electrical checks and tagging for rental readiness.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Service Technician at United Rentals supporting our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division, you will use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. What you’ll do:

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
