Savard Group is seeking a hands-on Field Technician to support pipe installation and jointing operations. The ideal candidate has worked with fiberglass, GRP pipe, or related experience and is safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable in field environments. The role requires travel across the United States and offshore sites as needed.

Shifts run Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with weekends, OT, and travel as required. Local or nearby Baton Rouge candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with fiberglass, GRP pipe, or related materials.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel and work in field settings.

Responsabilités

• Monitor pipe installation and jointing to ensure procedures and quality standards are followed.
• Identify, inspect, handle, and properly store pipes, fittings, and chemicals.
• Prepare pipe and fitting surfaces for installation.
• Joint pipes and fittings according to approved procedures.
• Identify pipe and fitting defects and assist with repairs.
• Conduct hydrostatic and deflection testing on installed lines.
• Read and follow piping drawings, equipment manuals, and work instructions.

Field Service Tech - Up to 2,000 Weekly W/OT & Per Diem. SAVARD is looking for a hands-on Field Technician to support pipe installation and jointing operations. The ideal candidate has worked with fiberglass, GRP pipe, or related experience, is safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable working in a field environment. This position requires travel throughout the United States, including travel to offshore sites wherever our field projects are located.

Key Requirements

• Must have fiberglass, GRP pipe, composite, or related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Monitor pipe installation and jointing to ensure procedures and quality standards are followed.
• Identify, inspect, handle, and properly store pipes, fittings, and chemicals.
• Prepare pipe and fitting surfaces for installation.
• Joint pipes and fittings according to approved procedures.
• Identify pipe and fitting defects and assist with repairs.
• Conduct hydrostatic and deflection testing on installed lines.
• Read and follow piping drawings, equipment manuals, and work instructions.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Must be local or near Baton Rouge.

Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, weekends/OT/travel as needed.

Duration: Temp to hire after probationary period.
