FIELD SERVICE TECH - Construction Equipment (42487)

Position Overview

With the training we provide, the Field Service Technician helps Arnold maintain that standing.

Essential Job Functions

• Repair and maintain construction equipment
• Travel to various job sites
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble all construction equipment
• Follow specifications and procedures in service manuals and use designated tools
• Measure and identify parts and components for reusability or replacement, and order new parts as required
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to make adjustments to machines and systems
• Make warranty recommendations and reports on prime products
• Perform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing, alignment, and electrical repairs
• Guide and supervise subordinates in machinery repair
• Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures
• Complete service reports in English
• Assist in parts ordering and process warranty work orders
• Process revenue field service work orders and obtain purchase orders from customers
• Manage Work Orders, communicate job status and progress to customers, and handle service calls
• Complete any additional special projects as needed

Non-essential Job Functions

• Assist the Service Manager with various tasks
• Maintain a clean workspace and vehicle

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Walking, lifting over 50 lbs., operating tools and equipment
• Bending, climbing, and working in various positions and terrains
• Reading work tickets, using heavy equipment, and effective communication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office programs
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to operate office machines and heavy equipment
