Job summary

Reeder Distributors, Inc. seeks a mechanically skilled Field Service Technician to join our Equipment Service team in Gardner, Kansas.

You will travel to customer locations to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automotive and heavy-duty lift equipment, including in-ground and above-ground systems. Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical experience in automotive repair or industrial maintenance, with strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
Experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, field service, equipment repair, or a related mechanical field.
Automotive or heavy-duty lift experience strongly preferred.
Electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Service, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair light- to heavy-duty automotive lift equipment.
Work on in-ground and above-ground automotive lift systems.
Diagnose mechanical and equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs.
Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
Travel to customer locations to complete service and repair work.
Communicate with customers regarding equipment concerns and completed work.
Follow company safety procedures and applicable equipment and workplace safety requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including company service vehicles and customer job sites.
Complete service documentation accurately and timely.
