Premier Power Maintenance, a leading provider of electrical maintenance services, is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site electrical testing, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs at customer facilities in the region. The role requires reading schematics, troubleshooting complex electrical equipment, and adhering to NFPA 70E, OSHA, and other safety standards.
Travel may be required; relocation within 60 miles of the regional office is expected.

Job Summary:
Performs electrical apparatus work onsite atcustomersfacilities. This includes electrical testing, preventative maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs to electrical apparatus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assistin the execution ofmechanical and electrical tasks on equipmentutilizedinpowertransmission,distribution, andgenerationat customer facilities.
Read and interpret manuals, schematics,andwritingdiagrams to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
Troubleshoot, repair, replace,and clean all components in a substation.
Ability toassistin the following tests:
Transformer Testing – Powerfactor, TTR,insulation resistance, SFRA, windingresistance,partial discharge,and leakage reactance.
Cable Testing – Insulation resistance,tandelta,hipot, TDR,partial discharge,and cable thumper
Circuit Breaker Testing – Insulation resistance, contact resistance,powerfactor, breaker timing, SF6 gas analysis, CT testing, high current testing, secondary injection testing,and vacuum bottle integrity testing.
Participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
Participates insafety meetings and training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarizewith industry standards such as NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA compliance standards, safety laws, and DOT regulations.
Ability toassistincomplex mechanical and electrical problems.
Strong communicationand problem-solving skills.
Must have strong PC skills including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask, prioritize,and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines.
Doble DTAF and Power DB knowledge ispreferred,training will be provided.
Hasdemonstratedthe ability to be consistently on time for daily work assignments, meetings, training, etc.
Demonstrates organizational skills to include ontimereporting of time and expenses, weekly status reports,and any other documentation and reporting requirements.
Demonstrates the responsibilityrequiredto keep tools, test equipment,and vehicles in clean and organizedconditionand up to date with service and calibrations.
Work Environment:
Must be willing torelocatewithin 60 milesof the hiringregional office.
Corporate business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, but depending on the scope ofworkshours outside ofbusiness hours will berequired.
Work in close, but safe, proximity to live electrical substations.
Must be able to work overtime including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Must be able to travel on overnight, multi-day, out-of-town projects.
Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergenciesin a timely manner.
Education and Work Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s orAssociates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, or Military experience is preferred but notrequired.
Experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly,and commissioningis preferred, but notrequired.
This role is considered an introductory positiontothe industry. Other usefulexperiencewould include butisnot limited to a mechanical aptitude and an attitude ripe for learning.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and motor vehicle check.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, as well as periodic, unannounced random testing.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain an endorsement tooperatea combined vehicle weight up to 26k lbs.
Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs.
Must be willing to obtain a company paidTWIC card, OSHA10/30hour, MSHA, NFPA 70E,and CPR training.
