Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is hiring a Field Services Representative – Third Class for a Tuesday through Saturday schedule at Great Valley – Meter Setting. The role focuses on meter installation, repair, and operation with emphasis on safety and accurate readings.

Qualifications include a valid driver's license and preferred Journeyman or apprentice plumbing credentials. Proficiency with Service Link, Aqua GIS, AIMS, AMRA, Banner, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Journeyman or apprentice plumber preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude for installation/repair of meters 1/2” to 2” in diameter.
• Ability to interpret meter readings and analyze consumption.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (Company/OSHA).
• Ability to read pipeline/construction plans for Meter Operations.
• Proficient with a computer/tablet and software: Service Link, Aqua GIS, AIMS, AMRA, Banner, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and replace meters and related materials 1/2”–2”.
• Read meter readings and analyze consumption data.
• Read and interpret pipeline/construction plans related to Meter Operations.
• Operate using computer/tablet and software tools (Service Link, Aqua GIS, AIMS, AMRA, Banner, MS Office).
• Be physically capable of lifting up to 85 lbs and work overtime, after hours, holidays and weekends.

An opening currently exists for a FIELD SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE – THIRD CLASS. This position will work a TUESDAY through SATURDAY schedule. Location – Great Valley – Meter Setting

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Highly recommended that the candidate be a licensed Journeyman or apprentice plumber.
• Must have mechanical aptitude for the installation, repair & replacement of meters and meter related materials ranging in size from 1/2” through 2” in diameter.
• Have the mathematical background to interpret meter readings and analyze consumption.
• Must have knowledge of the Company’s and OSHA’s safety regulations.
• Must be able to read and interpret pipeline / construction plans as it specifically relates to Meter Operations.
• Must be capable of using a computer / tablet and have working knowledge of Service Link, Aqua GIS, AIMS, AMRA, Banner and Microsoft Office.
• Be physically capable of lifting up to 85 lbs.
• Must be available for overtime when needed, as well as work after scheduled hours, holidays and weekends.
• Perform all other tasks or special functions as directed by supervisor.

The hourly rate of pay is $38.99 per hour.

All employees hired or entering the bargaining unit on or after December 15, 2022, will receive four dollars ($4.00) per hour less than the classification wage rate. The wage reduction will be returned in one dollar ($1.00) increases once a year over a four (4) year period. Employee will receive annual contract increases.

A written and field exam may be given.
