Qualifications

• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and a physical fitness evaluation.
• Clean Driving Record (no moving violations in 12 months, no 2-point violations in 3 years, no DUIs in 7 years)
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of test equipment to diagnose and identify malfunctions, referring to schematics and manufacturer specs with guidance.
• Under supervision, use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts.
• Observe and check for common causes of trouble, cleaning and lubricating equipment with guidance.
• Under supervision, perform routine installations and make adjustments to equipment within normal procedures.
