Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a remote Field Service Representative, focused on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting turbomachinery and package systems at customer sites. This role supports the Minnesota or Missouri bases to serve local customers with on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, and commissioning activities.

Ideal candidates bring DOT screen-ready health, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential.

Qualifications

• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen.
• Physical fitness evaluation required.
• Clean driving record (no violations within 12 months, no 2-point violations in 3 years, no DUIs in 7 years).
• Able to obtain Transportation Worker's Identification Credential.

Responsibilities

• Use test equipment to diagnose and locate malfunctions with schematics and manufacturers' specs under guidance.
• Under supervision use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts.
• Observe and check for common causes of trouble; clean and lubricate equipment with guidance.
• Under supervision perform routine installations and adjustments within normal procedures.
