Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation is seeking a Field Service Representative I to perform on-site field services for activated carbon products and equipment in the East Bay area. The role supports our customer service value proposition and requires travel to customer sites as needed.

The position offers regular full-time hours, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential weekend work. Qualification requirements include a high school diploma, safety certifications, and mechanical troubleshooting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Confined Space Certification must be completed within 3 months of hire date.
• Driver's License (Class A) preferred.
• HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification must be completed within 3 months of hire date.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential must be obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• 2-3 years of mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience in carbon treatment or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and document daily on-site activities using company tools.
• Start-up carbon adsorption equipment and train customers on proper use.
• Install and remove carbon adsorption equipment and perform maintenance.
• Inspect, repair and troubleshoot carbon-related equipment.

Position: Field Service Representative I
Location: US – Remote (East Bay Area - California)

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hrs/Wk - Monday through Friday with ability to work weekends when required.

The Field Service Representative I is the direct implementation of customer required on-site field services related to CCC activated carbon product, equipment, and service offerings. The Field Service Representative I is part of CCC’s customer support and service value proposition by contractual obligation.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

• Scheduling and documentation of daily on-site activities using FSWO database and work process
• Carbon adsorption equipment start-up and customer training on proper use through O&M manual and work process
• Carbon and other media removal and installation
• Carbon adsorption equipment installation and removal
• Carbon adsorption equipment maintenance, inspection repair and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• Confined Space Certification (Candidate must successfully complete training within 3 month of hire data) is required
• Driver's License (Class A preferrable) is required
• HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (Candidate must successfully complete training within 3 month of hire data) is required
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (Candidate must successfully obtain within 3 month of hire data) is required
• 2-3 years of mechanical aptitude and an understanding of mechanical systems; hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving/repairing technical and mechanical issues is required
• Experience in the carbon treatment industry or a related field is preferred
