Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation is looking for a Field Service Representative I to provide on-site services for carbon treatment products in a remote role based in California. You will engage directly with customers for training and equipment maintenance, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma, various certifications, and 2-3 years in a technical role. Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Confined Space Certification (training must be completed within 3 months).
• Driver’s License (Class A preferred) required.
• HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (training must be completed within 3 months).
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (training must be obtained within 3 months).
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues required.
• Experience in the carbon treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily on-site activities and maintain documentation.
• Train customers on equipment operations and maintenance.
• Install and remove carbon and other media.
• Perform maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of equipment.

Position: Field Service Representative I
Location: US – Remote (California)

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hrs/Wk - Monday through Friday with ability to work weekends when required.

The Field Service Representative I is the direct implementation of customer required on‑site field services related to CCC activated carbon product, equipment, and service offerings. The Field Service Representative I is part of CCC’s customer support and service value proposition by contractual obligation.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

• Scheduling and documentation of daily on‑site activities using FSWO database and work process
• Carbon adsorption equipment start‑up and customer training on proper use through O&M manual and work process
• Carbon and other media removal and installation
• Carbon adsorption equipment installation and removal
• Carbon adsorption equipment maintenance, inspection repair and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• Confined Space Certification (Candidate must successfully complete training within 3 months of hire date) is required
• Driver’s License (Class A preferable) is required
• HAZWOPER 40‑Hour Certification (Candidate must successfully complete training within 3 months of hire date) is required
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (Candidate must successfully obtain within 3 months of hire date) is required
• 2‑3 years of mechanical aptitude and an understanding of mechanical systems; hands‑on experience in troubleshooting and resolving/repairing technical and mechanical issues is required
• Experience in the carbon treatment industry or a related field is preferred
