Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking a Field Service Programs & Operations Engineer to support Operations & Maintenance, translating field challenges into practical technical solutions and scalable service programs. You will work hands-on with field technicians, supervisors, and managers to improve fleet availability, safety, reliability, and field execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related technical field.
8+ years in Field Service, power generation, O&M, or related environment.
Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, controls, or electromechanical systems.
Experience with field technicians or hands-on technical teams.
Experience developing technical procedures, maintenance programs, tooling, or field solutions.
Strong project planning and execution skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Field Service programs to improve maintenance execution, safety, reliability, and fleet availability.
Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues.
Bridge Field Service and Engineering by translating field issues into engineering requirements and solutions.
Develop and deploy Field Service tooling, fixtures, and resources to improve safety and efficiency.
Lead and support fleet-related projects and major maintenance campaigns.
Analyze field data to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
Create and update maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and work instructions.
Collaborate with Reliability, Product, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing leadership to resolve issues.
Mentor Field Service Technicians and Supervisors.
