Are you ready to join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of material handling? We are actively seeking dynamic Field Service Technicians to join our rapidly growing team out of our West Salem location. Field Service Technicians are responsible for traveling to our customer locations and repairing their powered industrial equipment, such as forklift trucks, aerial equipment, floor cleaning equipment, etc. Technicians are provided with a company service van, service laptop, iPad, credit card, and cell phone. We have internal support staff to assist, as well as free technical training through our factory certified in-house trainers, and in-the-field technical support!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Complete all service jobs assigned to you.
  • Communicate with the Road Lead Technician regarding any unusual service problems or technical assistance needed.
  • Attend service training classes to stay updated on new products or refresh knowledge on less encountered products.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (timecards, maintenance reports with customer signatures).
  • Communicate with dispatcher and/or service office regarding job status and availability for new jobs.
  • Identify jobs that should be sent to our shop for repair due to complexity or safety reasons and recommend accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with territory sales representatives to inform them of potential sales opportunities.
  • Always adhere to safety rules and policies at all times.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience repairing powered industrial equipment, including all types of gas, diesel, and electric trucks.
  • Successful completion of required training courses.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with laptops.
  • Own tools necessary for repairs, as per our recommended tool list.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Certification to operate material handling equipment (training provided).
  • Commitment to company vision and mission.
