Field Service Mechanic - Aftermarket - Specialty Rental - Powerhouse - Gastonia, NC

Join our team as a Field Service Mechanic supporting products in the field or at customer sites, specializing in power plants, heating, mechanical contracting, and industrial equipment such as packaged boilers, industrial burners, heat exchangers, and boiler plant equipment.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment to diagnose operational issues
• Perform repairs, replace gaskets, and control parts
• Conduct annual maintenance inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair burners from various manufacturers
• Install new low-emissions burners
• Retrofit boiler controls, including PLC and instrumentation systems
• Commission, troubleshoot, and adjust burners and boilers
• Document parts and services provided
• Request materials within company guidelines and budgets
• Travel between locations and transport materials (vehicle provided)
• Complete and submit electronic paperwork daily

Qualifications

To succeed, you will need:

• At least 3 years of boiler installation and maintenance experience
• Ability to travel approximately 25-35%
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Experience in electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial setting
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Knowledge of lubrication, pneumatics, piping, HVAC, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures and hot water/steam boiler operations
